Jason is one of the 100 CEOs on the non-partisan Texas Business Leadership Council, the Texas affiliate of the Business Roundtable that advises elected officials of both parties at the state and federal levels. He is a Board Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors, a Fellow of the Energy Institute, an Adjunct Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and an advisor to the U.S. State Department.
Before founding Prestige Economics in 2009, Jason was a Risk Specialist at McKinsey and Chief Energy and Commodity Economist at Wachovia (Wells Fargo). Jason was the Chairman of the Climate Change Advisory Panel from 2023 to 2025 at Sasol (NYSE: SSL), the large public fuels and chemicals company headquartered in South Africa. This was an independent advisory board focused on supporting Sasol executives explore sustainability technologies and strategies to meet emissions reduction commitments.
Jason holds master’s degrees in applied economics, negotiation, and German, as well as a bachelor’s in history and German. Jason currently serves as Adjunct Faculty for the Joint Special Operations University at U.S. Special Operations Command.
